We are back with another tournament cycle folks! This one is the Summer Showdown and like the last two we are starting off with the qualifier matches. The first week of these tournament cycles is always interesting as teams feel each other out and try to figure out what the meta is.

The second week of the June Joust qualifiers was a quieter one, most of the matches this week were fairly straightforward 3-0s or 3-1s. Lots of one sided matches. But there are a couple things worth talking about, so let’s get right into it.

Here we are, the last week of the regular 2020 season. Its been one hell of a season to say the least. COVID-19 wrecked all the plans that the season had. No homestands for most of the season. Technical issues on broadcast as teams and talent tried to grapple with all the issues that come with doing all of this stuff remotely. Power outages, internet issues, bad mics, random feed freezes, all that fun stuff. Shoutout to all the production crew behind the scene who kept the show going.
