The name of the site comes from the Overwatch metagame concept of the ultimate economy. Ultimate economy is the concept of managing a player’s ultimate abilities in the context of a Overwatch team and match. Things like conserving ultimates to combine them with certain other ultimates, not using ultimates in lost fights, not using too many ultimates, ultimate trades etc.
